Enjambre
The natural man, untouched by the artificial constructs of culture, society, and education, embodied pure instinct, free from the corruption of thought. He knew nothing of ownership, as it emerged from the non-natural, such as industry, superfluous needs, and ideas. He was also unfamiliar with selfishness, wars, slavery, vices, or any form of affection, as all of these only spring from enculturation, in other words, from sociological alienation.
Jean Jacques Rousseau
Enjambre is an urgent, poetic, and raw work. It offers a visceral and visual experience to the audience, striking them in a primal, wild, and sensitive manner. It's a collective attempt to reflect our animal identity. This swarm, this agglomeration of human beings, is a (possible) glimpse into what we are: a shared past and present, millions of years of bodily divisions, conjunctions, growths, vital humors that reproduce and extinguish themselves, cycle after cycle, for eternity. It's an age-old ritual rooted in our bodies.
